Carolyn was born in Magnolia, Arkansas, number 4 of 6 children. She lived in Arkansas through her college years where she attended the University of Arkansas, majoring in painting with a minor in sculpture.
In addition to Arkansas, she has lived in California, Louisiana, and Texas winning awards in all those places.
