SCULPTORS DOMINION
INVITATIONAL 2007
Named by the founder, Gilbert E. Barrera in San Antonio, Texas, this incorporated nonprofit organization is an annual show and sale called Sculptors Dominion Invitational.
Each year it has a different title. Brilliant Dimensions will be the title for 2007. The exhibit opens on April 7 through April 29.
As a new show and still developing the first four shows combined have sold some 75 sculptures, grossing more than $170,000. The shows have been viewed by some 7000 visitors and over 2800 were school children toured for free.
This Invitational focuses on large outdoor professional sculptures. The sculpture is large if one man can not pick it up.
The piece is an outdoor piece if the weather elements will not alter its value or require it to be maintained. Its professional if it blends the basic elements of art and skill with the satisfied eye of other professionals and culminated by a purchase by the ultimate juror, the buyer.
